AUTUMN MATHISEN-EDOFF

Dance, Yoga, Writing, and Film

Autumn holds a BA in Dance from the University of Minnesota, an MFA in Creative Writing from City College in New York City (with a focus on playwriting and screenwriting), and a 500Hr Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA.  Autumn also holds a Reiki 2 certificate. She brings the practice of Hatha-based Kripalu yoga, classical ballet, and modern dance to the LWR community.  As a professional ballet and modern dancer for two decades, Autumn performed in the Midwest, New York, Europe, and Russia, with both modern dance and ballet companies.  Her personal yoga practice spans twenty-five years.

Autumn is also a lyricist, short story writer, essayist, playwright, and filmmaker. Her short plays were performed at HB Studio in NYC and her song lyrics and videos with her creative partner and husband, Larry Edoff, have been performed and viewed in the US, Japan, and Europe.

In the dance studio, Autumn brings a wealth of experience and training as a teacher of classical ballet in the Academy Method (Cecchetti-based), and training in multiple modern dance styles including Cunningham, Limon, release method and others.  Autumn brings warmth, knowledge, openness, and dedication to the studio.  She offers solid training to young dancers (and dancers of all ages and levels), and her love of dance carries over onto the yoga mat, breathing fresh possibilities into the lives of her yoga students.

Autumn enjoys working with students of all ages offering tools to balance, focus, and experience the joy of movement. She believes we are here to serve, inspire, and heal each other on the walk of life.
